Offer of a provincial agency

Dear Sirs,

We have recently received a number of inquiries from the North of England for information about our range of pumps. This leads us to believe there is a promising market waiting to be developed in that part of the country. Sales of our goods in other parts of the United Kingdom have greatly exceeded our expectations, but the absence of an agency in the North has meant poor sales in that region to date.

From our experience elsewhere, we believe that a really active agent would have little difficulty in rapidly expanding sales of our goods in the North of England. As we understand you are well experienced and have good connections in this area, we would like to know if you are interested in accepting a sole agency. We are prepared to offer you a 2-year agreement, with a commision of 7 1/2 % on net invoice values. (兩年合約, 佣金按發票淨值的7 1/2% 提抽成)

As we wish to reach a quick decision, perhaps you will be good enough to let us know if our offer interests you. If it does, then I would suggest an early meeting at which details of an arrangment agreeable to both of us could be disccussed.
