Americans thinks a lot about the future. There are many books, movies, and TV shows about the future. In some of these, the future is a dark and dangerous place. But, in many others, the future is exciting, interesting, and incredible.
Two things are common is most of these visions. First, computers and high-technology are common. Most people believe technology will get better and better. Also, many of these stories take place in space. People fly around in space ships, talk with aliens, and live on other planets.
No one is really sure what the future will be like. But, it's a topic many people like to think about and discuss.
